Sewer Repairs to Affect G Street and Third Avenue: Today in Iowa City
Some new road work to watch out for today, plus all of the other road projects underway by the City of Iowa City

Good morning Iowa City friends.
You may have some disruptions on some of your routes both today and on Wednesday, as the City of Iowa City is forced to closed lanes to complete sewer repairs. This is assuming rain doesn't prevent the work on either day.
From the City of Iowa City.
Road Construction - G Street
Weather permitting, beginning Tuesday, August 6, 2013, G Street will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic from Sixth Avenue to Seventh Avenue. This lane reduction is necessary for a sanitary sewer repair in the area. The road will be re-opened to normal traffic by the end of the day on Thursday, August 8th.
Road Construction - Third Avenue
Weather permitting, beginning Wednesday, August 7, 2013, Third Avenue will be closed to through traffic from J Street to I Street. This street closure is necessary for a sanitary sewer repair in the area. Access to driveways and garages will be maintained during the work. The road will be re-opened to normal traffic by the end of the day on Friday, August 9th.
