This Week in Iowa City Weather: Sunny and Pleasant on Weekdays, Rainy and Cooler on Weekend

This week: the fall weather you remember enjoying.

It will feel like fall (in a mostly good way) this week.

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities is predicting sunny skies and highs in the upper to mid seventies for the majority of the week.

Here are the numbers:

  • Monday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 46. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
  • Tuesday Sunny, with a high near 76. South wind 5 to 15 mph.
  • Tuesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 48. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 74.
  • Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 48.
  • Thursday Sunny, with a high near 76.
  • Thursday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 55.
  • Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.
  • Friday Night A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.
  • Saturday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 72.
  • Saturday Night A chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 51.
  • Sunday A slight chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.
  • Sunday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 46.
  • Columbus Day Sunny, with a high near 65.
But, once again, enjoy this sweet weather while it lasts, as it could be fleeting. The Weather Underground forecast has temperatures dropping and rainy conditions continuing into next week.
