University Of Iowa Student Disappears After Late Night Run

Mollie Tibbetts was last seen three days ago possibly wearing denim shorts and a red T-shirt.

BROOKLYN, IA — Authorities are searching for a 19-year-old University of Iowa student who went for a run Thursday in Brooklyn and hasn't been seen or heard from since. Mollie Tibbetts was last seen three days ago possibly wearing denim shorts and a red T-shirt, the Poweshiek County Emergency Management Agency said in a Facebook post.

Tibbetts stands about 5-feet-2 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Relatives told WOI-TV Tibbetts had been caring for a dog at a home and went running around 10 p.m. The following day, she didn't go to work.

Her boyfriend, Dalton Jack, told ABC News she might be wearing a FitBit and have her cellphone, but that they've tried calling, to no avail.

"It's either off or dead so it would go straight to voicemail," he said.

Hundreds of people have scoured cornfields where she was known to run. She left behind her wallet and IDs. Officials called off the search and were reportedly following other clues.
