Wake Up Iowa City Saying Farewell to Downtown Location this Saturday

Wake Up Iowa City has had many incarnations over its history, starting as a coffee cart before finding its current location inside White Rabbit clothing store.

Jarrett Mitchell, the owner of the popular local coffee spot, says it's time to change again.

Mitchell says that Saturday will mark the last day you'll be able to get the Wake Up Iowa City coffee offerings and homemade donuts from the downtown location.

However, Wake Up Iowa City is not fading away, as Mitchell says it will still maintain a presence at the Iowa City Farmers Market as well as having coffee for sale at the New Pioneer Co-Op.

Mitchell also hinted at an "exciting announcement" about another project in the works, but said he wouldn't have any info to release on that until around August. To keep track of that watch here or follow Wake Up Iowa City on Facebook.
