Winter Storm Warning Saturday and Sunday

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Cedar Falls from 7:00 tonight until 9:00 Sunday night. A Hazardous Weather Outlook is also in effect.

The weekend’s forecast for Cedar Falls looks like this:

Saturday

• After 3:00pm - 50-percent chance of snow (trace) this afternoon with a high around 40.
• 7:00pm - snow continues through the night. 3-7 inches possible. Low around 20.

Sunday

• Morning/afternoon - Snow continuing with patchy blowing snow. High in the low 20s but into the low teens by sunset. Winds up to 30 mph and 3-5 inches of new snow possible.
• Night - snow lets up and cold temperatures take over. Half an inch of new snow possible, with a low around zero and wind chills as low as 15 below.
