Duration Extended, Location Shifted, For Temporary Closure On Dublin Street In NOLA

The temporary closure in the 1800 block of Dublin Street that was originally scheduled to be completed on Friday, March 12, will now be extended through Wednesday, March 17, 2021, and has shifted into the 1900 block. The 1800 block is open to traffic; however, the 1900 block of Dublin Street (between Spruce and Cohn streets) is being closed daily to vehicular traffic between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to allow construction crews to complete pavement restoration. The roadway is being reopened nightly after 5 p.m.

Public safety is our priority; road closure signs will continue to be in place throughout the process.

During this time, street parking and/or driveway access will be impacted. Residents and visitors are reminded to adhere to “No Parking” signage to avoid being ticketed and/or towed, as well as to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near the construction site.

This work is part of the $15 million Hollygrove Leonidas Group A project that includes replacing / repairing damaged underground water, sewer and/or drainage lines; repairing damaged curbs and gutters; patching the roadway with asphalt; replacing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons; and installing Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections. The entire project is scheduled to be complete in the second quarter of 2021.
