Habitat for Humanity Receives $11,000 from Allstate Foundation

The Allstate Foundation grant to support nonprofit's work to renovate affordable housing for local families

Fourteen Allstate agency owners and licensed sales professionals from the metro New Orleans area recently came together to secure an $11,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® grant to benefit Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West. The grant will support Habitat Humanity’s mission to renovate and build affordable housing with the goal of selling housing to qualifying families.

The agency owners and licensed sales professionals earned $1,000 each for Habitat for Humanity by participating in a “build day,” where volunteers helped the construction staff renovate four local homes. Habitat for Humanity will use the $11,000 grant to further its work.

The participants are among thousands of agency owners and licensed sales professionals around the country working to improve communities by volunteering for the causes they care about most.
