NOLA Traffic Advisory: Closure On Lake-Bound Canal Street Between Decatur And Royal Streets

January 28, 2021

Beginning on Monday, Feb. 1, through Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, the lake-bound lanes of Canal Street between Decatur and Royal streets will be closed to vehicular traffic. The closure is necessary to facilitate a series of crane lifts to replace cooling towers at 555 Canal St. Commuters are advised to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near this area.

Lane closure signage will be in place throughout the process on the lake-bound side of Canal Street. Two-way traffic operations will be in place on the river-bound side of Canal Street to accommodate vehicular traffic throughout the closure.
