Sodexo campus dining accounts partner on House of Tulip donation

Sodexo campus dining teams at Xavier University, Dillard University, Loyola University, and Tulane University orchestrate donation drive

Sodexo campus dining teams at Xavier University, Dillard University, Loyola University, and Tulane University orchestrated a multi-campus donation drive to benefit New Orleans-based House of Tulip.

The organization provides Trans and Gender Nonconforming communities in New Orleans, Louisiana with economic stability and safety through zero barrier, permanent housing and pathways to education, healthcare, employment, and home ownership.

“We wanted to help House of Tulip ever since its inception and thought a donation drive would be ideal to contribute in a socially distanced way,” said Sodexo Area Marketing Manager Michael Fulkerson. “House of Tulip is an invaluable asset to the TGNC community here in New Orleans.”

Students, faculty, and staff at each campus were able to donate new and like-new clothing, health, and beauty items for House of Tulip’s Community Closet.

“We are so appreciative of Sodexo for organizing this multi-campus donation drive for our organization,” said Ben Collongues, Operations Support Specialist, House of Tulip. “Our Community Closet is now stocked with an abundance of health and beauty items we are grateful to offer those we serve. Our community continues to amaze us with ongoing love and support.”

Marketing Coordinator Alexandra Clancy of Tulane Dining Services said, “I am so glad our regional Sodexo accounts were able to be of service to House of Tulip and maybe help brighten up a few people’s lives, especially after the trying year we just had.”
