Storms This Weekend, Tropical Wave Approaching
A weak tropical wave roving through the Atlantic Ocean could impact expected storms this weekend in New Orleans.
NEW ORLEANS, LA — Local heavy rains could fall as an approaching tropical wave in the Atlantic Ocean could reach the Caribbean Sea and form into a tropical depression over the weekend. The developing system could affect a forecast that's already predicted to dump rain Thursday and Friday and produce more rain that's forecast.
Rains this weekend are expected to be slightly more than what has fallen in various places around the Greater Metro New Orleans area this week. Next week storms are expected in the middle of the week.
