Tornado Watch Through Evening In Parts Of Louisiana
Tropical Storm Harvey is moving inland, bringing rain and high winds, the National Weather Service said.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – A tornado watch is in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday for parts of Louisiana and Mississippi, according to the National Weather Service.
Affected areas include Slidell, Hammond, Gulfport and Picayune, the agency said. The harrowing weather could include winds up to 65 mph and hail.
Showers and heavy downpours, meanwhile, continue across southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi, with winds up to 40 mph as Tropical Storm Harvey continues to move inland.

"The center of circulation should be in the Alexandria area this evening," the NWS said. "Meanwhile, there are rain bands across east Texas and western sections of Vernon and Beauregard parishes that is producing rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour."
