Public safety is our priority; residents and commuters are reminded to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near the construction site. The project is scheduled to be completed in November 2020, weather permitting.
The project will require temporary lane closures. Vehicles traveling east on Robert E. Lee Boulevard will be redirected to Leon C. Simon Drive, then to St. Anthony Street and back to Robert E. Lee Boulevard. Vehicles traveling west on Robert E. Lee Boulevard will be detoured from St. Anthony Street to Leon C. Simon Boulevard and back to Robert E. Lee Boulevard. Detour signage will remain in place throughout construction.

During this time, street parking and/or driveway access may be impacted. Residents and visitors must adhere to any “No Parking” signs on the streets to avoid being ticketed and towed.
The $455,000 City-funded roadway improvement project will include a full depth asphalt replacement of the approach ramps to the bridge over the London Avenue Canal. In addition, the roadway between the bridge’s approach ramps and Waldo Drive, and from Robert E. Lee to Pratt Drive, will be milled and resurfaced.
