In partnership with the City of New Orleans’ Office of Business & External Services (OBES), the City is announcing that the Vieux Carré Commission will return to the French Quarter, temporarily. This partnership will help to re-engage City staff with the citizens of the French Quarter and surrounding historic districts.

For that reason, The VCC Foundation has worked with The Berger Company and Berger/Tiller Families and the City of New Orleans (CNO) to secure a space at 400 N. Peters St., Suite 206C. You can find CNO staff on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., by appointment only. French Quarter office hours will begin on Thursday, March 4, 2021. For general inquiries and application submittal please email vcc@nola.gov for an appointment. If you know the staff member you wish to speak with, please email them directly for an appointment.

During these hours, you will be able to meet with someone in-person to ask questions, drop off an application, and issue permits. Some restrictions will apply for these services as not all employees will be available on this limited basis. For instance, a review of plans and the ability to discuss violations with a staff member will be available. Keep in mind, you may not walk out with a permit, but the staff will do their best to assist you and can help with OBES permit entries and questions.
