Caddo Parish: Caddo Parish Parks To Host MLB Pitch, Hit And Run; Home Run Derby Competitions June 9

Caddo Parish, LA - Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with Captain Shreve High School baseball team will host Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run and Jr. Home Run Derby local competitions at Captain Shreve High School baseball field on Wednesday, June 9th starting at 6:00p.m. On-site registration will start at 5:00p.m. competition is for boys and girls (ages 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14).Participants will be tested in three fundamental aspects of baseball/softball – pitching, hitting and running. Participant is tested throwing strikes to a designated Strike Zone target. Participant hits a ball off a stationary tee for distance and accuracy. Participant is timed, starting from second base, touching third then touching home plate. is open to boys and girls (ages 11-12 and 13-14). This competition allows participants to display their hitting power and swing for the fences in a fun and free competition.
