Caddo Parish: Earl G. Williamson Park To Close For Improvements; Boat Launch To Remain Open

Caddo Parish, LA – Beginning Monday, June 28, Earl G. Williamson Park, located at 11425 LA-1, Oil City, LA will be closed for major electrical upgrades and several park improvements. “We are excited about the renovations and upgrades to one of our Parish’s premier parks,” said Caddo Parks and Recreation Director Patrick Wesley. “These improvements allow the Parish to continue to provide quality recreational opportunities and the ability to enjoy our Parish’s natural assets in a clean, safe and comfortable environment,” said Wesley. Additional park improvements include: Installation of new fishing pier Installation of new ballfield lights Ballfield upgrades Addition of a 9 hole disc golf course Restroom upgrades Sidewalk upgrades Installation of new park signage and welcome kiosk Installation of new trash receptacles Completion is scheduled for mid to late November, with no impacts anticipated to the annual Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival, slated for December 4. ###
