Award-winning children’s musician, Will Parker, returns with whimsical and interactive virtual concerts on Tuesdays, July 6 and July 20. With over 10 years of experience writing and performing songs for kids, Parker plays the guitar and harmonica while singing original songs from his albums Animal Maniac and Imagine Land. His high-energy shows feature sing-a-longs, dancing, improvisation, and lots of audience participation. The concert is perfect for children of all ages. Both concerts will begin at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom.
Adults are also invited to join the Summer Reading Fun with a virtual fieldtrip to the Museum of Bad Art’s newest exhibit, Dopplehangers. Intentionally or not, the artwork featured in this collection resembles famous faces. The collection includes efforts to capture the likeness of favorite entertainers, politicians, or historic figures, and some have accidentally ended up portraying recognizable faces. The Museum of Bad Art (MOBA) collects, exhibits, and celebrates art that will not be seen in other venues. Michael Frank, MOBA’s Curator in Chief, will present the program and respond to comments and questions on Zoom chat. Adults can join via Zoom on Tuesday, July 6 at 6:00 p.m. to view this amazing exhibit.
