With interest rates at an all-time low, and the real estate market booming, Shreve Memorial Library in partnership with Pelican State Credit Union invite potential homebuyers to learn more about homeownership and the buying process during Money Smart Week 2021. A free virtual presentation will take place Tuesday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom, and registration is required. Other free virtual Money Smart Week programs will also take place starting, Saturday, April 10 and run throughout the week.

Money Smart Week is a national public education program coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and delivered by a network of supporters that empowers people with the knowledge and skills to make better-informed personal financial decisions around the key financial pillars of saving, spending, borrowing and planning. Money Smart Week runs April 10 through April 17.
Shreve Memorial Library and Pelican State Credit Union will present, “Owning the Home Buying Process,” a virtual workshop covering home buying tips, defining mortgage terms, and discussing the pros and cons of owning a home. Participants will learn all the basics of buying a home and home ownership. The workshop is free and open to all interested in learning more about the home buying process.
