Portland, Maine Apple Picking Guide 2017

If fall is here, that means that apple picking season has officially arrived.

Many locations over a variety of fall themed activities in addition to apple picking, while others center completely around apples.

Below is a list of some of the best orchards in the Portland area.

Hansel's Orchard

• 44 Sweetser Road in North Yarmouth
• Open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, Wednesday from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM
• Apple picking at Hansel's opens on Saturday September 9th.

Randall Orchard

• 1 Randall Road in Standish.
• Open daily from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Call ahead to the orchard to confirm specific hours for apple picking and other activities.

Thompson's Orchard

• 276 Gloucester Hill Rd in New Gloucester
• Open daily from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
• In addition to apple picking, you can purchase a variety of other goods including donuts, pies, and fresh cider.

Brackett's Orchard

• Staples Road in Limington. Specific directions to the pick your own orchard can be found here.
• Open daily from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
• On the weekends, you can also enjoy Brackett's new apple train, the apple express, apple donuts and pumpkins.
