70 MPH Wind Gusts Possible: Severe Thunderstorm Warning
BREAKING: About 70 mph wind gusts and hail the size of ping pong balls are possible during the severe thunderstorm warning period.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 10:15 p.m. Monday for parts of Harford, Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties and Baltimore City.
Severe thunderstorms were on a line from Bowleys Quarters to Essex to Dundalk, officials said just before 9:50 p.m. The storms were moving east at 40 mph.
About 70 mph wind gusts and hail the size of ping pong balls are possible, according to the warning.

These areas may be impacted, officials say: Baltimore, Middle River, Riviera Beach, North Point State Park, Sparrows Point, Fort Smallwood State Park, Back River, Millers Island, Glen Burnie, Dundalk, Essex, Pasadena, Rosedale, Ferndale, Rossville, Brooklyn Park, White Marsh, Bowleys Quarters, Pumphrey and Linthicum.
During the severe thunderstorm warning period, people should go inside to stay safe from wind and lightning. Do not drive underneath wooded areas until the threat has passed, as trees and branches may fall. Roads may become blocked by downed trees, and localized power outages are possible, according to the warning.
