Baltimore City Firefighter Remembered In Thursday Viewing
A viewing for Lori Underwood, Baltimore City Fire Department veteran, will take place Thursday. Underwood was killed in a motorcycle crash.

BALTIMORE, MD — The Baltimore City Fire Department and members of the Baltimore community will celebrate the life of veteran firefighter Lori Underwood this week as they prepare for her viewings and memorial service.
Lori Underwood, 43, died June 27 in a Carroll County motorcycle accident. Underwood was a member of the city fire department for 19 years as a Baltimore City Firefighter, paramedic and union official.
According to Underwood's obituary, she served as the secretary treasurer for the Baltimore Firefighters Local 734 and was a 27-year member of the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun Inc.

Viewings for Underwood will take place Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Ruck Funeral Home at 5305 Harford Road.
Underwood’s memorial service will be on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun Inc. located at 300 Joseph Biggs Memorial Highway in Rising Sun.

Underwood was pronounced dead at the hospital, while her boyfriend remains in serious condition at Shock Trauma, according to CBS Baltimore. She is survived by her boyfriend, daughter Madeline Moore, parents Dale and Larry Underwood and a multitude of family and friends.
A GoFundMe fundraiser was created for Utz’s in Underwood’s memory. As of Thursday morning, the page had surpassed its $50,000 goal.
