Baltimore Marching Band Set To Play In Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

NEW YORK, NY — Is it tradition for you to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at home in Baltimore? You’ve got added reason to tune into the festivities this year.

The Morgan State University marching band from Charm City will be one of 11 performing in the world-famous Thanksgiving parade.

Known as the Magnificent Marching Machine, or M3, the band from Morgan State features a flagline, high steppers and choreography that is sure to wow onlookers. The group has performed at the White House and in the movie "Enemy of the State," according to Macy's.

The Baltimore band is made up of 130 individuals, and the turkey day performers will be playing a medley of "Everybody Dance" as they march through the New York City streets.

The annual parade kicks off at 9 a.m. on Thursday in New York City, and you can watch the entire event on NBC. The Thanksgiving celebration will feature balloons, floats, clowns and performances from some of the biggest stars in music. Celine Dion, the Black Eyed Peas and Idina Menzel, among many others, will all to the festivities.
