Baltimore Restaurateur In The Running For World’s Favorite Chef

A Baltimore chef who has advanced in an online competition hopes to donate the prize to two city schools.

Casey Jenkins, who owns Darker than Blue Cafe, said if he wins the competition, he plans to donate the prize to Carver and Mergenthaler Vocational high schools. "The students in these programs can use the money more than me," Jenkins said.

BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore chef is using a unique online opportunity to help benefit some Baltimore schools. Casey Jenkins, the owner of Darker than Blue Cafe, is now in the third round of the World’s Famous Chef competition.

Chefs from around the world are competing in the exclusive online competition to be named the world’s favorite chef. The winner will get a $50,000 cash prize.
