Baltimore School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Baltimore is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Baltimore School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/21 - 9/22: Modified After School Activities (Observance Day)

October

• 10/19 - 10/20: No School (PD for Staff)

November

• 11/6: No School (PD for Staff, Parent-Teacher Conferences)
• 11/9: First Quarter Ends
• 11/10: Second Quarter Begins
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (Winter Holiday)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Holiday)
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)
• 1/22 - 1/25: Evening Parent-Teacher Conferences
• 1/24: Second Quarter Ends
• 1/25: Third Quarter Begins
• 1/26: No School (PD for Staff)

February

• 2/16: No School (PD for Staff)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents Day)

March

• 3/16: No School (PD for Staff)
• 3/26 - 3/30: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/2: No School (Spring Break)
• 4/6: Modified After School Activities (Observance Day)
• 4/11: Third Quarter Ends
• 4/12: Fourth Quarter Begins
• 4/23 - 4/27: Evening Parent-Teacher Conferences
