Baltimore St. Patrick's Day Parade 2019: Route, Closures, Lineup
The St. Patrick's Day Parade in Baltimore is this weekend. Festivities also include the Shamrock 5K and mass.

BALTIMORE, MD — The 64th annual Baltimore St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Sunday, March 10. The parade starts at the Washington Monument and will end on Pratt Street at Market Place.
It is a rain-or-shine event.
Floats, marching bands and others will participate in the event, which is one of several activities on Sunday that celebrates Irish culture in Charm City.

Parade Route
The 2019 St. Patrick Parade starts at the Washington Monument, 699 North Charles Street, near Centre Street, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10.

Participants will travel south on Charles Street.
At Pratt Street, the parade will head east to Market Place.
Lineup for the parade will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Organizers expect the parade to last about three hours.
There may be temporary traffic stops during the event.
Road Closures
11:30 a.m. – Market Place from Pratt to Water Streets
11:30 a.m. – Charles Street from Centre Street to Madison Avenue
11:30 a.m. – Mt. Vernon Place from Cathedral to St. Paul Streets
11:30 a.m. – Centre Street from Park Avenue to St. Paul Street
12:00 p.m. – Charles Street from Saratoga to Centre Streets
1:00 p.m. – Charles Street from Conway to Centre Streets
1:45 p.m. – Pratt Street from Howard to President Streets

Parking Restrictions
Parking restrictions will be in effect along the parade and race routes from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Mt. Vernon Place from Cathedral to St. Paul Streets
- Centre Street from Park Avenue to St. Paul Street
- Charles Street from Conway to Read Streets
- Market Place from Charles to Water Streets
- Pratt Street from Gay to President Streets (north side)
- Key Highway from Battery Avenue to Covington Street (south side)
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Baltimore City police officers will be joined by transportation enforcement officers in directing traffic.

Archbishop William Lori will preside over the eighth annual parade day mass at the Baltimore Basilica, 409 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201.
The mass starts at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 10.
Next, the Shamrock 5K Run will be held at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 10. Runners will start at the intersection of Charles and Mulberry streets, then finish at Power Plant Live! for an after-party.
The course will run south on Charles Street, east on Conway Street, south on Light Street and east on Key Highway. At Jackson Street, participants will turn around and proceed west on Key Highway, north on Light Street then east on Pratt Street, ending at Market Place.
One travel lane will be set aside for those participating in the race along the route.
Key Highway will be closed at Lawrence Street, although local traffic may be through during the event.
