City Schools Impacted By Ransomware Attack In Baltimore County

Baltimore students who are not using devices issued by Baltimore City Public Schools are excused for the day, officials say.

BALTIMORE, MD — Students in Baltimore City are impacted by a ransomware attack in the county, according to authorities.

Those on city schools-issued laptops or devices are the only ones who should participate in virtual learning, Baltimore City Public Schools said in a statement around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Students using devices that were not issued by the city school system were told to log off immediately.
