Fatal Crash On I-83 Closed Interstate For Hours
Multiple people were hospitalized after a deadly crash on I-83 Tuesday, according to the Baltimore Fire Department.

BALTIMORE, MD — A deadly crash on Interstate 83 closed the southbound side of the JFX for about five hours Tuesday, according to authorities. The crash occurred on I-83 south before the exit for East 28th Street/Druid Park Lake Drive Tuesday morning, according to the Baltimore Fire Department.
One person died and at least two people were taken to the hospital, fire officials reported.
Police said I-83 south was shut down at the Coldspring exit before 11:20 a.m. due to the deadly crash. Drivers were encouraged to take alternate routes.

By 3:20 p.m., the Maryland State Highway Administration reported all lanes on I-83 south had reopened.
