German Christmas Village In Baltimore: Hours, Admission, Vendors
The German Christmas Village in Baltimore added a 65-foot attraction this year.
BALTIMORE, MD — Those looking to buy last-minute gifts may want to check out Baltimore's Christmas Village. It features 50 local and international vendors near the Inner Harbor and was opened with the original Christkind from Nuremberg, Germany, transforming the area off Light Street into an indoor and outdoor German Christmas market near the harbor promenade.
A large Christmas tree is outside, and more than 20 Herrnhut/Moravian stars adorn the outdoor booths around the site, adding to the atmosphere. A 65-foot-tall Ferris wheel provides a new attraction this year along the Inner Harbor.
At the market, food and drink vendors offer German fare. There is a Hofbräu beer garden inside the heated tent and food such as charcoal grilled brats, Swiss Raclette cheese and Belgian fries.
