Health Officials Visit Mobile Vaccine Clinic At Pimlico
The clinic will provide free COVID-19 vaccinations supplied by the Vaccine Equity Task Force to seasonal workers at Pimlico.

BALTIMORE, MD – Health officials recently visited the site of the Preakness Stakes horse race in support of ongoing vaccination efforts there.
On Monday, health officials visited a mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic, operated by MedStar Health, at Pimlico Race Course.
The clinic will provide free COVID-19 vaccinations supplied by the Vaccine Equity Task Force to seasonal workers at Pimlico ahead of the 2021 Preakness Stakes horse rest, set for May 15.

At the site were Jinlene Chan, Maryland Department of Health Deputy Secretary for Public Health Services; Mark Martin, MDH Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities Deputy Director; and Janeen Birckhead, Maryland National Guard Brigadier General and Vaccine Equity Task Force Head.
“Through Maryland’s GoVAX Mobile program, we are bringing vaccines to any part of the state where they are needed,” Chan said in a prepared statement. “The value of strategic partnerships with organizations such as MedStar Health to take vaccines to the people was highlighted today at Pimlico.”
