Rep. Elijah Cummings Remembered: Watch The Service Again
The congressman was memorialized with a funeral service Friday in Baltimore at New Psalmist Baptist Church.
BALTIMORE, MD — Thousands flowed into a church in Baltimore to pay their respects to U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings, remembered as a "good man with a good heart" who fought for justice and was a "public servant and a man of the people." Among those eulogizing Cummings were two former presidents.
Cummings wrote his own funeral program, the pastor revealed at the start of the service, which he said explained why some people were not a part of the more than three-hour event.
The funeral followed two days of ceremonies to honor the late congressman, who laid in repose at Morgan State University in Baltimore Wednesday and laid in state at the U.S. Capitol Thursday.
