MARYLAND — July 4 celebrations are set to light up streets and skies across Maryland as the state celebrates America's birthday. Independence Day in Maryland will continue beyond Thursday, July 4, since Gov. Larry Hogan has extended the holiday, so July 5 is a state holiday as well for 2019.
And in some areas, the festivities last even longer, with fireworks and parades planned for Saturday, July 6.
