Maryland Haunted House Guide 2019
Here's where to scare up some fun this Halloween around Maryland.

MARYLAND — 'Tis the season when crazed zombies and bloody characters crop up at haunted attractions around Maryland. Here's a look at some of the spots to scare up a terrifying good time for Halloween 2019.
301 Devil's Playground
13335 Alexander Road, Galena, MD 21635
There's a barn of torture at this Kent County attraction, as well as a 3-D phobia experience with blacklights and House of Hell. Open Oct. 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26 and Nov. 2. The last person in line is admitted at 10 p.m. People can buy tickets online or in person, but know before you go there's no ATM on site. Tickets are $25, and there's a $10 Hell Pass to skip the line.

Bedlam in the Boro
4224 Main Street, Lineboro, MD 21102
A haunted hayride, house of horror and kids zone round out this Carroll County haunt. Proceeds benefit the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department. Tickets run from $8 for a child under 8 to take the hayride to $25 for adults who want to see all the attractions and skip the line. Regular admission is $18 for an adult combo ticket, but there's a $2 coupon on the website.

Bennett's Curse
7875 Eastpoint Mall, Dundalk, MD 21224
There are several haunted attractions at Bennett's Curse included in admission. One is the Inferno in 3-D, an underworld inspired by "Dante's Inferno." Guests will be given 3-D glasses upon entering the gates of hell before facing a host of demons. There's also an Underworld Haunted House; Legends of Halloween, where all the familiar Halloween characters are brought to life with a twist; and Ravenbrook Asylum, which collapses, releasing the most criminally insane in what organizers say "could very well be our most disturbing show to date." Tickets are $35 for general admission, $45 for the speed pass (wait no longer than 45 minutes) and $60 for VIP (next available in line).
Ellicott City Haunted House
3655 Church Road, Ellicott City, MD 21043
The year is 1819 and children keep going missing in Ellicott Mills. The "Milltown Massacre" will be open for two days only at the old Patapsco Female Institute: Oct. 25 and 26. Tickets are $10. Children under 12 not permitted.
Field of Screams Maryland
4501 Olney-Laytonsville Road, Olney MD, 20832
Walk through two terrifying trails in the haunted forest or tour the evil slaughterhouse at the Field of Screams, where there are five attractions in all. People can buy a ticket to one attraction for $20.56 or a thrill package for $48.60. It is $18.69 extra for the fast pass to skip the line and $10 to play the carnival games, like zombie brain smash or ax throwing. Some attractions are outside, so call the weather line first if it looks like weather might be an issue at 301-260-9004.
Fort Howard Haunted Dungeons
9500 North Point Road, Fort Howard, Maryland 21052
This haunted affair based in Fort Howard Park benefits the Edgemere-Sparrows Point Recreation Council. Frights await in the woods of Fort Howard county park, where guests who dare may check out the fort dungeons and learn about the historic battle of 1812. Tickets are $17. There is a discount day for Baltimore County employees on Oct. 18, when they get $2 off with proper ID.
Laurel's House of Horror
935 Fairlawn Ave, Laurel, MD 20707
This haunted house is inside an abandoned movie theater and it bills itself as the state's largest indoor haunted attraction. There is a separate escape room at the location, which is in a shopping center. Tickets are generally $25, and there's a speed pass to bypass the line for $40.
Legends of the Fog
500 Carsins Run Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001
One ticket gets people into four attractions at this Harford County destination: a haunted hayride that organizers bill as "one of the longest, scariest and most shocking experiences you will find around Maryland, DC and Pennsylvania"; the Cornstalkers haunted corn maze, where "they" may be lurking around the corner; The Farewell Hotel, with 70 doors leading to scares; and a terrifying tent that houses the Sinister Circus, complete with clowns, a bearded lady and conjoined twins. Tickets are $30, and a fast pass is available for $10 to $15 depending on the day.
Markoff's Haunted Forest
19120 Martinsburg Road, Dickerson, MD, 20842
Wear your walking shoes for the haunted trail, which features rocky terrain. Then take the shuttle to the haunted town, filled with a spooky church, butcher shop, jail and more. Bonfires are burning on site at this Montgomery County destination. Ticket prices vary from $25 to $35 for a trail pass to $45 to $65 for a combo pass. Eating at one of five Poolesville area restaurants will allow people to upgrade to a "fast pass" for $5 a ticket.
The Nevermore Haunt
450 Mott Street, Baltimore, MD 21202
Set in 19th-century Baltimore, this haunted house includes scenes inspired by the city's dark past, organizers say. Among the characters on the interactive set are tortured factory workers, unlicensed physicians and drowned sailors. There's a rotating sideshow at the front of the house and an outdoor bar plus free parking with security. Food trucks will be on site on select days. Tickets are $22 to $56, depending on the day. No children under 4 feet tall, and those under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Ravenseye Manor
8778 Jordan Road, Fairplay, MD 21733
This Washington County affair offers four attractions for $30: the haunted hayride, Carnival of Souls, manor house and Dark Corn Maze.
