BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore has tons going on this Memorial Day weekend, so whether you're into beer, animals, metal music, the Civil War, Disney, or even the First Annual Baltimore Drag Awards, there's something for everybody. The city's travel and tourism website, Baltimore.org, details a bunch of events around the Baltimore area.
Most banks will be closed. All government buildings and schools will be closed.

- Saturday, May 26 to Sunday, May 27, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. | The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore
Enjoy a huge beer festival at the Maryland Zoo this weekend. There'll be more than 80 brews, live tunes and tons more. Local food and artisan vendors will be around. Check it out!

You can check out Port Discovery this weekend to celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage Day, learning about some of the flora and fauna like pandas and cherry blossoms.
Remembering the Civil War Origins of Memorial Day
- Sunday, May 27 to Tuesday, May 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Fort McHenry National Monument & Historic Shrine
You can see special Civil War programs at Fort McHenry, with a focus on how the war gave birth to Memorial Day. There will be a living history encampment and tons more.
- Monday, May 28 from noon to 8 p.m. | Hollins Street
The Arts and Music Festival around historic Hollins Market will be this weekend, with tons of live music, art, food, kids' activities and tons more.
- Friday, May 25 to Monday, May 28 from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. | Rams Head Live
Called America's biggest annual metal party, the Deathfest is a four-day metal marathon starting Friday. There will be dozens of bands from around the world.
Pics in the Park: Disney's Moana
- Sunday, May 27 from 7:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. | Center Plaza
Enjoy Pics in the Park this weekend with free outdoor showing of Moana in Center Plaza in downtown Baltimore. There is enough space for hundreds, so bring a blanket and enjoy.
First Annual Baltimore Drag Awards
- Sunday, May 27 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. | Creative Alliance
For the first time, the Annual Baltimore Drag Awards are going to dazzle the city. With MCs Brooklyn Heights and Betty O'Hellno, this is called the "Academy Awards of Baltimore Drag." Check it out!
Orioles Memorial Day Game vs. New York Yankees
