Morgan State Marching Band Wows In Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Baltimore was represented by the Magnificent Marching Machine from Morgan State University in the 2019 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

NEW YORK, NY — The marching band from Morgan State University was one of 11 performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. About 3 million spectators were expected to watch live in New York despite windy conditions, while about 50 million tuned in on television, according to Macy's.
Known as the Magnificent Marching Machine, or M3, the band from Morgan State featured high steppers, a flagline and choreography that wowed viewers around the country.
One in particular showed his enthusiasm with his own dance, which was captured on Twitter:

The 130 individuals making up the Baltimore band performed a medley of "Everybody Dance" as they marched through the New York City streets.

The parade kicked off at 9 a.m. on Thursday in New York City and was broadcast on NBC.

The Magnificent Marching Machine came right before the Snoopy balloon, which is the longest running character in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

- Morgan State University Magnificent Marching Machine, Baltimore, Maryland
- Ronald Reagan High School Marching Band, San Antonio, Texas
- Western Carolina University Marching Band, Cullowhee, North Carolina
- Macy's Great American Marching Band, USA
- NYPD Marching Band, New York
The Thanksgiving celebration featured balloons, floats and musical performers.
