Gov. Larry Hogan toured the mass vaccination site in Harford County Wednesday. Ripken Stadium opened as a mass vaccination site about two weeks ago, on April 22. Hogan joined Orioles Hall of Famer Cal Ripken at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.

Students Help Save Oysters, Restore Chesapeake Bay: Report

Annapolis Elementary School students are working to save the Chesapeake Bay, the Capital Gazette reported. Excavation to install an anti-flooding pump revealed heaps of old oyster shells, that students will send to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, where they will help grow new oysters.

Officer Indicted, Charged With Assaulting Teenager: Police

Authorities said a grand jury indicted a Prince George's County police officer on April 27. Officials identified the officer as Cpl. Darryl Wormuth. Police accused Wormuth of assaulting a teenager on Oct. 20, 2020 after he took the suspect into custody in Suitland.
