BALTIMORE, MD — In Baltimore City, officials say 41,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed as of Monday, March 8. A total of 879 Baltimoreans have died of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, according to the Maryland Department of Health.
Two mass vaccination sites have been established in the city — at M&T Bank Stadium and at the Baltimore Convention Center — to facilitate administration of the vaccine.
Over the weekend, Maryland marked a milestone of more than 1 million residents having received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

How To Get A COVID-19 Vaccine In Baltimore
Coronavirus vaccinations in Maryland are by appointment only. The state is in its first phase of its vaccine distribution plan, which includes about 2 million of the state's 6 million population.
To schedule an appointment, call the COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center at 1-855-MDGOVAX (1-855-634-6829).

The Baltimore City Health Department is currently in prioritizing older adults, who are 65 and older and can get in touch with the city in two ways to register:
- Fill out this form online to register for the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Call the Maryland Access Point hotline at 410-396-CARE, which is 410-396-2273.
Once people have recorded their interest in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine online or by phone, the city will reach out when an appointment becomes available.

How Many Vaccines Have Been Given
Despite the location of the mass vaccination sites in Baltimore, the city's percentage of residents who have been vaccinated is lower than the statewide average.

- 8.2 percent second dose in Baltimore
- 16.9 percent first dose in Maryland
- 9.3 percent second dose in Maryland

These outdoor coronavirus testing locations are operated through the Baltimore City Health Department:
- Zeta Center, 4501 Reisterstown Road – Open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9
- Franciscan Center, 101 W. 23rd Street – Open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10
- Waverly Y, 900 E. 33rd Street – Open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, March 11
- HARBEL Community Organization, 5807 Harford Road – Open 1–4 p.m. Friday, March 12 (drive-through)
Since these are outdoor testing sites, officials advise residents to dress accordingly.
The four sites above are open as long as weather permits.
