30th Annual Disabilities Awards Program Nominations Due Sept. 1

The Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities seeks to recognize the individual achievements of people with disabilities.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities will accept nominations for its 30th annual Disabilities Awards program through Sept. 1. The awards program seeks to recognize the individual achievements of people with disabilities and activities undertaken by individuals, groups or organizations that contribute to the welfare of people with disabilities.

“In these challenging times, it’s particularly important for us to come together to recognize selfless individuals for their sacrifice, perseverance in the face of adversity and commitment to helping those in need,” said Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski in a statement. “I want to thank the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities for continuing this proud tradition in holding their 30th annual awards program and I strongly encourage county residents to consider nominating a candidate today.”

Seven award categories will be considered involving activities related to education, employment, advocacy, volunteerism and accessibility. To learn more about the awards program and access the nomination form, please visit the county Commission on Disabilities website.
