Catonsville Boy Scouts Collect 1,800 Pounds of Food

Catonsville boy scouts have collected more than 1,800 pounds of food for the annual Scouting For Food service project.

In the Baltimore Area Council, Scouting For Food has had a long tradition as being the single largest service project in Central Maryland.

Pack and Troop 307 based out of Catonsville United Methodist Church always have one of the largest efforts, distributing more than 2,000 donation bags.

This year, the scouts collected 1,874 lbs of food that was donated to the Catonsville Emergency Food Ministries on Bloomsbury Avenue in Catonsville.

Last year, boy scouts collected more than 500,000 pounds of food.
