Baltimore County High School Athletes Recognized For Successes

Baltimore County Public Schools recently recognized its high schools for their athletic accomplishments this spring season.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County Public Schools recently recognized its high school athletic teams and their accomplishments at the state level during the 2021 spring season.

The following teams were honored:

State Champions

Boys Lacrosse Class 2A – Hereford High School (defeated Kent Island, 5-4)

Boys Track and Field Class 2A – Milford Mill Academy (85)

Girls Track and Field Class 1A – Western School of Technology (77.5)

Girls Track and Field Class 3A – Hereford High School (89)

Softball Class 4A – Catonsville High School (defeated North County, 1-0)

Tennis Class 1A – Pikesville High School (58)

Tennis Class 2A – Hereford High School (75)

State Runners-up

Baseball Class 2A – Sparrows Point High School (defeated by La Plata, 8-7)

Boys Lacrosse Class 3A – Towson High School (defeated by Urbana, 7-6)

Boys Lacrosse Class 4A – Catonsville High School (defeated by Severna Park, 11-3)

Girls Track and Field Class 3A – Franklin High School (50)

“While we honor these students for their athletic skills,” BCPS Superintendent Dr. Darryl L. Williams said, “we recognize that success on the field, court or track, requires so much more than athleticism. We celebrate these students for their perseverance, discipline, teamwork and intelligence, and we thank their coaches, trainers, physical education teachers and parents for their unwavering support and guidance.”
