Boosters Seek Donations for Comet Park

Over the past few years, the Catonsville Comet Booster Club has raised money for new scoreboards, ticket booths and flagpoles. Now, the group is hoping the community can help with the next major project: bleachers that will increase seating capacity from 500 to 2,000.

The group is breaking ground on its new concession stand, complete with bathrooms, and will soon start phase one of the new bleachers for the Comet football stadium, according to a brochure from the club.

With a capacity of 2,000, the school can host tournaments and playoff games, the brochure said.
