Catonsville Groomery Moves to Edmondson Avenue

Kathy Swodoba had always had her eye on some of the small retail shops on Edmondson Avenue for her pet grooming store.

But the space was never open when she started her business on Frederick Road in 2006.

It wasn't until this year that Swodoba heard that space was open on the 1700 block of Edmondson Avenue. The location used to be a small barbecue restaurant.

On April 3, Swodoba and her small staff opened at 1715 Edmondson Avenue. Swodoba said she loves it.

"This was my first pick. I always wanted to be here," she said.

The store is decked out in pink, from pink walls to pink accents to a pink flamingo and waste bin out front.

Swodoba said she loves pink and wanted to make the place bright and festive.
