Catonsville Resident Receives Emmy for Film

"To Not Fade Away" follows a woman who is diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

Catonsville resident David Wasser received an Emmy for his role in the documentary "To Not Fade Away," which follows a 45-year-old woman as she struggles with Alzheimer's disease.

The documentary aired on Redefine Life TV, a network that shows programming geared towards baby boomers and seniors. It is a follow-up to a previous Emmy-award winning documentary on Marie Vitale, five years after her initial diagnosis.

The documentary also explores research around the disease, as well as the stories of other well-known Americans who have it such as college basketball coach Pat Summitt and country music star Glen Campbell.
