Catonsville Students Honored With New School Award
The "Comet Leader" awards was presented to two students who started a popular school club in the fall.

Two Catonsville High School juniors were honored Friday with a newly created school award.
Rachel Albert and Hannah Lane were awarded with the first-ever Comet Leader awards for starting the school’s ballroom dance club this past fall at a school assembly Friday morning.
After searching for a faculty sponsor, creating posters and promoting the club over the summer, more than 30 students came to the group’s first meeting. Since then, the club has outgrown its original space and now meets on Thursdays in the school’s cafeteria, where students learn dances, get plenty of practice time and even compete.
