“We hope the community will join us in celebrating our outstanding library media specialists and school libraries,” Fran Glick, coordinator of the BCPS Office of Digital Safety, Educational Technology and Library Media said in a news release. “During the past year, perhaps more than ever, our library media specialists have demonstrated their commitment, creativity and connection to students. Our school libraries offer so many resources to our students. Beyond books, they also often house maker spaces, television studios and access to a wide range of learning resources. They are unique spaces in a school building, offering respite, information and inspiration.”
