Charlestown Art Gallery Features Work of Karen Davison
Her paintings were juried into a highly-rated exhibit at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown.

CATONSVILLE, MD (February 10, 2016) -- Charlestown retirement community’s Art Gallery this month features the work of Karen Davison, whose paintings were juried into a highly-rated exhibit at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD, a high honor.
Her acrylic of bowling pins and balls (seen in above image) and a large square collage of leaves and shapes have not been shown before because of their large size.
Davison began painting seriously in 1994 without having had formal art training. She found local artists in West Virginia who gave informal classes. She also attended workshops in nearby Hagerstown.

Many of these classes explored watercolor, others were in collage. She found that much was learned by trial and error.
Davison today is an accomplished artist in many different mediums.
