Toys for Tots Project Started This Past April

CATONSVILLE, MD (December 14, 2017) -- A record 215 vintage wooden toys made by members of Charlestown’s woodshop today were delivered the U.S. Marines for its Toys for Tots project. The toys will be given to underprivileged children for the holiday season.

The toys (many of which are seen in photo) included several pull toys of trains, fish that wiggle when pulled, simple wood puzzles, piggy banks, shape fit toys, stack block type toys, wood road graders, old time cars and pick-ups, and cradles with hand sewn dolls.

The woodworkers started to make the toys this past April. Charlestown is managed by Erickson Living.
