Dance Studio Opening in Catonsville

A new dance studio is opening on Catonsville on Frederick Road and will offer a mix of dance and fitness classes for adults and children.

Baltimore Salsa Dance Company is holding a Grand Opening at its new location at 6305 Frederick Road in the Paradise neighborhood of Catonsville. The studio is on the side of the building where the is located. 

The owner of the studio, Tabitha Hitchye-Holliday, moved the studio from Baltimore to Catonsville. Hitchye-Holliday, who lives nearby, said she had been looking for a location in Catonsville for several years.

"When I saw this location, I thought this would be perfect," she said. "I can walk from my house."

Hitchye-Holliday teaches salsa, Zumba and other classes at various locations around Baltimore. The studio will offer ballet, salsa and hip hop for kids. For adults there will be Zumba, salsa and other fitness classes. The full schedule is available on the studio's website.

The studio will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with free lessons all day.
