El Nayar Closes Elkridge Location, Will Keep Catonsville Open
The restaurant's owners are $600,000 in debt.

El Nayar Mexican Restaurant will close its Elkridge location, the owners announced on Facebook Thursday.
"Unfortunately, we have decided to close Elkridge," an El Nayar representative posted on the Catonsville Facebook page Thursday. "We can't thank enough everyone who has wished us the best and gave us their loving comments. We will continue fighting for our business and continue to improve."
The number to the Elkridge business was disconnected Thursday.

The on Frederick Road will continue to operate. Owner Maria Flores said the restaurant also has no interest in adding a liquor license to the Catonsville location.
In an interview with Patch last week, Flores said she and her husband owed $600,000 to creditors. Both locations were closed for a week while the couple decided what to do.

Flores opened El Nayar in Elkridge in 2006 and in Catonsville in 2008.
