Help Send a Kid to Camp - 5K Community Walk
The Children's Home presents the 2016 5K Community Walk for Children and Families on May 7.
The 5K Community Walk for Children & Families is a 3.5 mile stroll through historic Catonsville with shorter routes available. Beyond the finish line will be horseback riding, food, games, a moon bounce, prizes, and music by DJ Billy Zee. The Walk is an individual achievement, a family bonding experience, a team competition, or just an opportunity to enjoy a spring morning.
Proceeds will help fund The Children’s Home Summer Camp, a nine-week program for the residents of the Home that includes an arts program, horseback riding, swimming, music, book challenge, gardening project, and field trips to cultural, recreational, and educational sites throughout the region.
Early registration is $30 for each walker and $35 on the day of the event. Teams of five or more walkers will receive a registration-fee discount. Those unable to participate can support the Walk with an “I Wish I Could Be There” sponsorship of $50. Information is available online at: www.thechildrenshome.net or 410-744-7310.
