Maryland Artist Makes Waves with Bold Brushwork, Dramatic Themes

The following event was submitted by Still Life Gallery Fine Art & Custom Framing, which welcomes its newest artist, Alison Menke.

At the age of 25, Maryland artist Alison Menke is one to watch. She has caught the attention of collectors and the art world as an extraordinary young painter, with talent beyond her years. Working in oils, often on a large scale, her bold, painterly brushwork combined with dramatic images and colors have a breathtaking impact upon the viewer.

Menke grew up in Clarksville, graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park nd lives in the D.C. area.

You are invited to a Wine and Cheese Reception with the Artist, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17. (No RSVP is required.)

The exhibit runs Aug. 8 to Oct. 19.
