Obituary: Jane Menary Doucette
Former Catonsville resident was active member of many community groups.

Jane Menary Doucette died peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Gulf Coast Medical Center.
She was born July 7, 1926 in Lynn, Massachusetts the daughter of William and Ruby (Cory) Bell.
Jane is survived by her children Thomas Francis Doucette, Jr. of Ellicott City Maryland, Robert Geoffrey Doucette of Kansas City, Kansas, Jane Ellen Cooke of Bonneau Beach, South Carolina and Barbara Ann Bowman of Fort Myers, Florida. Jane also was blessed with grandchildren: Chelsea Cooke, Steven Doucette, Ryan Cooke, Kenneth Doucette and Samuel Bowman. Jane also has numerous extended family members and friends among the people she loved dearly.
She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Francis Doucette, Sr. and sons William Lawrence and Richard Allan Doucette.
Jane retired from the telephone company in Maryland where she worked for many years. She was a long time student at what was then Catonsville Community College (). She was a lifetime member of the Catonsville branch of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
Jane was proud to have been a longstanding survivor of breast cancer. She was a member of the tap-dancing troupe, the "Snappy Tappers" and was a loyal volunteer at the in Catonsville and Spring Grove State Hospital.
Jane donated her body to science, and a memorial in her honor will take place in Ft. Myers Florida on May 12, 2012.
